Night Huntress by Yasmine Galenorn

Night HuntressI recently picked up a copy of this 5th book in the Sisters of the Moon series and I have to report, much about this character hasn’t changed.

Delilah D’Artigo (if you haven’t read this series before) is a part human, part Fae, werecat. Who, along with her two sisters ( Camille – who’s a witch and  Menolly – a Vampire) are in the battle for all of our lives. Demons led by an evil commander named Shadow Wing are trying to open a door between their world and the other worlds with the intention of enslaving the inhabitants and basically burning earth to dirt. That is the back story in all of the books and characters. As crazy as they sound, I must confess to a slight addiction with them and the back story. It’s also why I rush out to buy each book when it comes out. All three sisters are different and the men/women they favor are different.

With that in mind, I was disappointed with this one. Both books featuring Delilah are weaker than any featuring Camille or Menolly and I actually put off reading the rest of the series because I knew that I had to read Delilah’s point of view to keep up with the whole Shadow Wing back story. The whole turning into a tabby cat when she gets scared is funny but kind of loses my interest. I was also hoping that her relationship with the Autumn Lord would be developed more in this one. That being said, I think that is the genius of Galenorn’s writing, anyone will find someone to like in this series, even though  I am just bored to death with Delilah.  I didn’t really fall in love with this book or her on again off again boyfriend Chase (you’ll see when you read it). Still, the series is really good and will keep your attention.

Overall, worth checking out.
